Keynote Speaker 1 :

Prof. Dr. Ana Bras, Professor, Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU)

Professor Ana Bras is a Full Professor of Bio-materials for Infrastructure and Deputy Director of the BEST Research Institute at Liverpool John Moores University (UK). With over 20 years of experience in pioneering bio-based, low-carbon and self-healing solutions for sustainable infrastructure, she has secured £3.5M in research funding and published extensively in top Q1 journals. A Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng, FICE), she serves as an expert evaluator for major international research bodies including Horizon Europe, ANR, the Dutch Research Council and EPSRC. Prof. Ana Bras leads global initiatives such as chairing the RILEM TC BEC committee and contributing to the UK carbon-neutral infrastructure agenda. Her work integrates civil engineering, materials science and microbiology to enhance durability and resilience in cement and earth-based structures, while supervising numerous PhD and postdoctoral researchers worldwide.

Keynote Speaker 2 :

Ir. Ts. Dr. Hj. Mohd Khairolden Ghani, Senior Manager, Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM) 

Ir. Ts. Dr. Hj. Mohd Khairolden Ghani is Senior Manager (Consultancy & Inspection Division) at Construction Research Institute of Malaysia (CREAM). He holds a PhD in Built Environment from University of Malaya, along with a Master’s in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (plus a technical diploma), and is registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), as well as a Professional Technologist with the Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT), and recognised as an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE). With over 15 years in CREAM since 2007, he has led and contributed to numerous consultancy, inspection, and research projects focused on sustainable construction, facility management, digitalisation, resilient construction, green building technology, and industry development. He also holds adjunct and advisory teaching roles at several Malaysian institutions, bridging academia and industry.
